Satoshi was born a good many years before his sister was. In the years before her, he only ever knew their mother, his dad never came around and he couldn't care less about him. Even though his mother never said anything but wonderful things about him, but he wasn't one to believe notions without proof. His younger sister was born ten years after he was and afterwards their mother never returned home for them. After a few years of taking care of Mina, he completely forgot what the woman even looked like. He only knew what was important, how to do his jobs to take care of his sister. Right arond the time of MIna's thirteenth birthday, they went to Hallow Bastion and found Pandora. She was in bad shape and they took her in. They've been a happy little family ever since.
