Hikaru is the less mature of the twins, he depends solely on Kaoru for comfort and social interaction, most of the time. He is quick to become angry and jealous when the attention of one of his loved one's is stolen from him. Such as when Haruhi is speaking with her friend, Arai. He has a very hard time differentiating his feeling of loyalty and love sometimes. It was actually his brother, Kaoru, that pointed out the feelings that he has for Haruhi despite having feelings for her as well.
