Derek looked at Akira's tear-ridden face and then her tore up arm. Jeezus, she'd need at least a couple stitches with how deep and long those cuts were. Great...to the O.R. stat? Nope. "Well, come with me, you're going to need a few stitches." He took her by the hand and led her to the elevator. He pressed the botton for the first ground floor. The elevator did its thing and they got out and walked to his office. He got out a suturing needle and some medical thread. He had Akira sit down before he sterilized the needle and her forearm. He stuck the needle through the skin and he began to suture in zig-zags. He put a bandage over the stitches. "All done." He smiled at her.

Akira did well. She didn't even cry once as he was suturing her arm. "Thank you, Derek." She smiled a light smile, rubbing the tears from earlier off of her face. "I appreciate this, a lot. Let me buy you a drink, it's the least I could do after this whole episode." She blushed, pushing the hair from her face. She wasn't very good at this flirting thing, and when she did decide to flirt, she always did something stupid to scare the guys away. She stood up from the chair she was placed in and stepped forward, not realizing her shoe was untied. Oh dear. She took another step, and then she was falling. She put her arms out infront of her, bracing herself for the fall.

Oh Jeezus she was falling. He hurried to Akira's side and caught her before she fell to the ground. He stood her back up on her feet before he spoke. "You really should make sure your shoelaces are tied before you go walking around, ya know." He smiled at her. Dammit, he thought, I'm flirting with her again. He knew that Akira probably had a boyfriend, he means, why wouldn't she. She was pretty, had a nice personality, and she didn't see, bitchy in the least. Why on earth would she still be single?

"Probably." Akira giggled, her face turning a light shade of red. Oh dear, blushing and giggling. She was flirting. *Why am I flirting, he probably has a girlfriend* She thought. She pushed some hair out of her face, looking down at her feet. "Thanks for not letting me fall." Wow, she was stupid. *Thanks for not letting me fall. Nice job, smart one.* She thought to herself once again. "So, can I buy you a drink?" Was she asking him out on a date? She hoped he would consider it a date, but who knows.

"I'd love a drink. First though I have a question for you." He paused. What question did he possibly have for her. There was one, but he probably already knew the answer. *Ask already dammit!* He yelled at himself mentally. Fine, geez. "My question for you is: Would you possibly want to consider this a date?" Possibly, maybe, consider. For the love of Asclepius, he was rambling and getting all awkward. He pushed his glasses up while he opened the door for Akira.

"Oh." Did Akira consider this a date? Well, she wanted to. "Would you? Cos I mean if you do, I do. I do doesn't make sense, it kinda sounds like we're getting married. But not really. Wow, I'm rambeling again, aren't I? Dammit. I always seem to do that around you." Her face turned a light shade of red and she looked down, heading out of the room then stopping and waiting for him to follow after her. "Before you go, would you mind if I went home and changed?" She turned towards him, still staring at her feet.

"Well, I, myself, would love to consider this a date. And you're right, 'I do' isn't really the best choice of words for this situation. I mean, it would maybe be in context if we were in the hospital chapel, but it doesn't fit here." Derek couldn't believe how much he was rambling, just on and on and on. She must think, at least by now, that he was socially awkward. Or just retarded. *Sigh*
They were making their way back to the elevators when he noticed that she stopped. "No, I don't mind if you go home and change first. Would you like to meet me at the Fifty Yard Line at, oh say, six-thirty?" He offered. That gave them both about an hour or so to go home, change, and get ready.

Akira smiled at him, giggling softly. She thought his rambleing was very cute. "I'm glad we can consider this a date, Dr. Stiles." She smiled again, flipping her bangs from her face. "I will meet you there." Akira nodded, then exited the hospital, walking over to her car and getting in. She drove back to her apartment and ran inside, ripping open her closet doors and searching frantically for something she could wear. She wanted something casual, but something a bit fancy as well. This was harder then she thought. She finally picked something out and ran into the bathroom, taking a quick shower. She curled her hair gently, then put it back into a ponytail, leaving her bangs out and straight. She put on eyeliner, cover-up, and mascara, then through on the outfit she was going to wear. She took a deep breath, checked her cell phone for the time, and then left for the 50 yard line, more anxious then ever. Whether excited or nervous, she didn't know. She was just anxious. Derek looked at the positvely ecstatic look on Akira's face before he spoke. "I'm glad you'd even want to consider this a date." He paused. "Seeing you in a while then." Once she was out of view. *Lets out a huge breath of air* I have a date! Yay for me! *glances quickly back and forth* Its a good thing that no one can see you mentally freaking out. He rushed out to his shiny red Mustang. He was so excited, he accidentally peeled tire when he turned out of the parking lot. He drove quickly, a little bit over the speed limit, across time to the apartment building where he lived.
He hopped out of his car, beeped the button to lock it, and ran through the door to the lobby. He headed for the nearest elevator and pressed the button for the seventh floor. The elevator seemed slower than usual, but that was only becoz he was in a hurry. He got off when the elevator stopped and ran down the hallway to his apartment. He fumbled with his keys before he could unlock the door. He shut the door behind him and ran to his bedroom. He ripped through his closet for something that was comfortable and not too, too dressy. He threw a black long-sleeve shirt, red tie, and a pair of black jeans onto the bed before he headed for the bathroom. He showered at lightspeed and got out and did some work on his face. Meaning that he shaved off all the stuble that he'd aquired over the past few days. He put on a clean pair of boxer and basically jumped into his clothes. He sprayed some Axe over himself, it wasn't one of the obnoxious smelling ones though, and those were hard to find. He grabbed his wallet and keys before he jetted out the door and onward to the parking lot. Followed only by the Fifty Yard Line.

Akira drove into the parking lot at the 50 yard line and parked, of course. She got out and locked the car, putting the keys in her back pocket and heading inside. She sat on the bar stool and ordered a cherry margarita, waiting for Derek to show up. If he showed up. You see, Akira didn't really have good experiences with guys. Guys didn't usually like her, and when they did they were usually the weirdos. And not the good ones, the crack smokers or the greasy fat guys. You know who I'm talking about. The bartender handed her her drink and she handed him the money, turning around in her seat to look at the crowd of people in this bar. There was the hos and the guys who like hos and the drugees and the drunks and then there was her, one of the only normal people in that bar at the time. She felt extremely out of place. She bit her lower lip and turned back around in her seat, running a hand through her bangs and twirling them around her finger. What if he doesn't show up? What happens if I'm stuck here alone all night and then some weirdo comes and puts me in his back pocket and takes me to his house, what do I do then? Oh shit. What if I get raped? Okay, Akira, just calm down. Let's think rationally. He'll show up...I hope.

Derek was getting agitated as he headed to the bar. Stupid friday night traffic. *insert grrr face here* He had to sit through probably ten minutes of traffic before he could take the shorcut to the 50. When he got to the bar he parked the car and locked it with that nifty little button on the remote before he headed inside. Once inside, he looked for Akira. At first he couldn't find her. Yeah, that was strange considering how out of place she must feel right now.
As he made his way through the bar he saw the pimps, the stoners, the creepers, and then there were the hos doing their slutty little dances. He could of sworn that he saw Angie...Ho. He continued towards the actual bar part of the bar when he saw Akira sitting on one of the barstools. He saw some creeper guy eyeing her from afar. He quickened his pace and sat down next to her. "Hey." He paused looking at her closely. "You look like you were about to have an anxiety attack."

Akira saw the guy eyeing her and she blushed, feeling extremely uncomfortable. She was very happy when Derek came and sat next to her. "Oh, hi." She smiled, the red in her cheeks lessening a bit. "Usually a guy would tell ther girl that she looks nice, not that she looked like she was about to have an anxiety attack." She smirked, taking a moment to look over Derek's choice of attire. He looked, well, hot. "You look pretty dashing, Dr. Stiles." She grinned at him. He showed! He actually freakin' showed! She thought to herself, grabbing her glass and taking a sip of her strong alcoholic beverage. "You should get something to drink, I'll pay. It's the least I could do after this happened." She pointed to the stitches on her arm, then turned the attention back towards him. "So, you been here before?" Wow, you are dumb. That's all you could think of? Nice job. Akira mentally facepalmed, then regained her composure and took another drink of her margarita. A big one at that. She was nervous, so she honestly didn't care.

Derek sat there next to Akira, both listening to her speak and giving a warning glance to the creeper. Yeah that's right creeper, fear me, I'm a doctor, he thought to himself. *chuckles mentally* "Yeah, well you do look very pretty, too. Your face just screamed anxiety attack though." He complimented her...sort of. Dammit, why was he so damn socially awkward and challenged. He felt like he was back in high school, when everyone stared at him and figured he'd turn out to be a nothing. That's only becoz he didn't like doing his homework...well, any paperwork for that matter. ...Anyways.
He was trying to figure out what he wanted to drink when Akira volunteered to pay for his drink...as she pointed to her arm. He didn't know what he wanted. Probably the usual though. Yep, Red Bull and Jägermeister. Yeah, that's right kids, the amazing caffiene high of Red Bull mized with the incredible powers of alcohol. No, children, Derek is not a drunk. Do you really think they'd let him operate if he came into work with a hangover all the time...Um, answer:No, no they would not. However, alcohol's incredible power was that it could turn even the most polite gentleman into a complete douchebag. Alcohol = douche baggery in most cases. And that's for guys and girls alike. "Bartender, can I get a Jäger Bomb over here?" He called out to the bartender that was working tonight. Well. one of them at least. And it just happened to be Shendi. Yes, it sounded like a black little girl's name, but that's only becoz she was a ho-y wangster.

"Thanks for the complement...kinda." Akira told him then turned her attention towards the bartender. She was kinda ho-y, and seemed like she wanted in Derek's pants. That made her kinda angry. Akira fake smiled at the bartender and handed her the money for Derek's drink, then practically ripped the drink from her hand. "I've never had one of those, what does it taste like?" She asked him as she handed him the drink from the bartender. Akira didn't usually drink for that matter. She loved the feeling of being drunk, she just didn't like the hangover. But who did? She spun around in her chair and looked at the band that was playing. They were fairly good, but she didn't catch their name. She wondered who they were, but she didn't really think about it and focused more on her date. She smiled at the thought, for she hadn't been on one of those in quite awhile. Akira turned her attention toward the band once again as they started playing one of her favorite songs, You and Me by Attack Attack, the UK version of course. Akira turned towards Derek and grinned. "I love this song! Let's go dance!" She took his hand and pulled him from his seat, grabbing her drink so no one would spike it, and dragged him to the dance floor.

Derek watched in curiousity/confusion as Akira basically ripped the drink from Shendi . She must've been staring at him. He didn't notice becoz she was a ho, why would he pay attention to a ho? One reason, if it was a lesbian ho that was looking at Akira...then he'd wanna be like 'bitch please'. He turned around on his barstool, taking a drink of his Jäger Bomb, and listening to the band that was playing. They usually played on friday. It was Erase Reality. They were pretty good all the times Derek had heard them. They had some of their own tracks, but since it was early in their career they did alot of covers still. He took in a deep breath when they started playing one of his favorite songs. Attack Attack - "You and Me". He had the urge to dance.
Akira drug him up to the dance floor. Apparently she wanted to dance too. So, he wasn't alone. Derek was going to be completely honset with himself. He couldn't dance. He knew he couldn't dance. So, at least he wasn't one of those people that thought they were good dancers and looked like a spastic zombie. That's how much some people twitched when they danced. Weird right? He tried his best to dance, taking a drink of his Bomb every now and then.
